Another moral to the story is to stop working when the battery
approaches zero. Seriously.
There are ample 3rd-party battery monitoring apps out there. I
recommend finding one that can be configured to be annoying as hell,
perhaps by making loud embarrasing noises (maybe the Surround-Sound
version of iFart's audio tracks), turning the backlight on and off at
3-sec intervals, or changing the color-profile so everything appears
in shades of red.
While I may be making up those annoying prompts, I'm completely
serious about the importance of a) having a low-battery warning
you'll actually pay attention to, and b) stopping work when the
battery approaches zero.
