I think everyone that has replied has offered suggestions as well as questions that may
lead to some answers. They haven't offered any guarantees; no one can do that.

Well, this is the least thing that I need right now, you're not offering any solution at all!
Of course I have an svn repository, and I also do time machine backups, but I haven't done that in a month because time machine doesn't backup anymore when your hard drive is filled up.

So you either have a solution in mind or avoid replying to my message.... PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're telling us you have a single copy of your hard work in a single place, it never gets backed up using something like Time Machine or dot Mac Backup, and it never gets committed to an any kind of revisioning system?

THOSE are the other ways.

For some people, losing valuable data is what is required in order to NOT lose valuable data. Seriously.

It's been more than a month since I did a backup, you're telling me that all that is time lost? There has to be another way.

Hello everyone,

I was working with xcode and my battery run out and the machine powered off. When I turned the machine back on, and I saw the file I was working on, it was completely damaged!!! It looks like a binary file and I think I lost all the C++ code I've been working over a year.

Can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do???? I really need that file,
