In terms of debugging you have to treat it like you're running Windows 3.11.

If something isn't working in a way that makes sense, restart it. 90% of the time that
clears up the problem.

There are bugs in the debugging parts where breakpoints you set from the console get ignored
while breakpoints from the breakpoints window are still being hit. So don't count on stuff you
set at the console, you can use it, just don't rely on it to always be hit.

Maybe in this something helps, I hope so.

What helps everybody is to file bug reports with reproduction scenarios and crash logs at http://bugreporter.apple.com when you have problems.

Our experience, as we develop all of Mac OS X, all of the iPhone OS and apps, and all of the iLife, iWork, and Pro Apps with Xcode, is somewhat different than yours. The 25,000 iPhone applications that have been written and shipped in the past 9 months wouldn't exist if your experience was the norm, not an exception. If you file bugs with specific cases, perhaps we can fix the cases you find and make you as productive as other Xcode users.

We welcome criticism and advice so long as it helps the platform and developers move forward. I only ask that you put constructive energy behind your gripes (and to spell its name right, as you do).

Chris
