Just to be clear I was not emailing the list with gripes. The user in
question
was experiencing something that I experienced, which is a stability issue
with Xcode. In the process of giving him the workaround that I use I
mentioned the issues I deal with.
I tend to be a bit gunshy on bug reports in this area in general because I
used to do this with NeXT and in particular the indexing kit and phone kit.
Neither worked to spec and the broken parts were a major issue for my
project.
The response in the next release of the development environment was
to remove the offending kits entirely. No kits, no bugs :-). Also for me,
no project. So workarounds became more of my priority vs. bug reporting
after that and it's hard to shake.
Anyway I've got the message from the list, people don't believe me,
and don't want to hear it, don't want it mentioned on the list so I'll
be mum.
