The article's method should work. I use it for maintaining multiple targets
in my Xcode project. I would say try again. You shouldn't have to touch any
build settings except for the build setting that specifies the prefix header
for the target.

Other than that, it just a matter of setting the target membership correctly
on the prefix header for your targets.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything missing from the articles description so
I can't help you figure out why it's not working for you. Do you have any
specific issues you've run into?
