I'm not an "official" source, but I can assure you that the Carbon
templates are indeed gone. If you really need to create a Carbon
project, you can still do so, just starting from an empty project
instead of a template.
Alternately, you can create a project with an earlier version of Xcode
and copy it to your 10.6 machine.
