That should not happen (obviously!) but instead you should see a dialog saying "This software requires Mac OS X 10.7" with just an OK button. Please file a bug (again ><). Any info on where it crashed would be useful.

I made comments on the bug report, mentioning the crash and attached a crash log. The bug again is: rdar://6555546


It looks like it is still an open bug.

If you believe this is insufficient, I can file a new bug.
