Understanding the new compiler options

I'm having trouble finding information on the recommended compiler to
use in various situations. I use combinations of C, C++, Obj-C and
Obj-C++ and target both PPC and Intel. I note that Clang doesn't
fully support C++, although I've successfully built a large mixed
language project with it and it seems to run on both Intel and PPC
(although I haven't tested it thoroughly, nor on any OS earlier than
Leopard). Does Clang complain about C++ it doesn't support or does it
fail silently?
Perhaps I should be using LLVM GCC 4.2 until Clang officially support C
++ and Obj-C++. Does LLVM have any limitations on PPC (e.g., minimum
OS requirements)?
Thanks,
Nick Nallick
