Well, I downloaded those revisions last night and it didn't fix
it for me.
We removed the tooltips, and have verified the fix in multiple
ways, so I would like to understand more:
- Which doc set are you seeing this in? Is there a specific link
we can try to duplicate it with?
- If you go to the Documentation preference and click the 'i'
next to the doc set you see this in, what is the version showing?
- Which version of Xcode are you using?
I see this when I open for example this in Safari:
file:///Developer/Documentation/DocSets/com.apple.adc.documentation.AppleSnowLeopard.CoreReference.docset/Contents/Resources/Documents/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/Foundation/Classes/NSKeyedUnarchiver_Class/Reference/Reference.html
#//apple_ref/occ/cl/NSKeyedUnarchiver
Scroll down, hover over any of the method names in the Tasks
section, and the document jumps to the top (rdr:7194539).
No Xcode, just Safari, I suspect the problem is the same though.
Gerd
I've noticed this in Safari too, with the following document:
<http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/documentation/Cocoa/Reference/Foundation/Classes/NSFileManager_Class/Reference/Reference.html#//apple_ref/occ/cl/NSFileManager
>
Hover over a method name, as Gerd says, or hover over the little i
button next to the method name, and it scrolls back to the top.
Cleanup the Safari cache and try again.
This only avoid the issue temporarily, but it has led me to discover
reliable steps to reproduce.
Ron, I've filed rdar://problem/7199788 Safari (WebKit) mistakenly
scrolls when hovering over link in ADC reflib
I believe that this may actually be a WebKit caching bug.
