       - set the defaults
       - quit and relaunch Xcode so that the defaults get picked up
       - do the simplest steps to reproduce the stepping issue that you are seeing.
       - immediately attach the log to the radar


I encountered this bug yet again after my last post, and the same thing occurred: The activation of logging caused the bug behavior to disappear.  I executed the app to the same breakpoint and then attached the logs, but I suspect they won't show anything interesting because writing to the defaults cleared the bug.  Next time I'll try changing the defaults in some other way, to see if any change has the same results.

Meanwhile, I wonder if there are some config or index files that I should capture the next time the bug occurs, before writing to the defaults and potentially clearing the bug behavior.
