Thanks for the clarification. I was OK with the way the build pane is shown up in Xcode 4.x but I need to stick with 3.2.6 for a little while. I'm guessing then that the key is in the project file itself. Is there any chance you could tell me what triggers it? I've been really getting used to it, specially that I make the build messages section larger than the list of files in the Project pane. So, having to share the same pane for both the Project and the Build is a bit annoying….
