I'm not sure I agree that Xcode's way makes sense. I mean, I suppose it does, but it's hardly intuitive. The best thing might be to have a well-known library of Frameworks to simply drag from. But second to that, Xc3's way makes a lot more sense. You point at the spot where you want to add a Framework, right-click, choose "Add Framework" (in Xc3 this was "Add Existing Framework").
My central view of a project is the Files & Groups view, and it's intuitive to add and remove things to that list. I'm not saying you should NOT be able to do it the way it's done, but I should also be able to do it the way I used to.
And even more than that, it should work the way the docs suggest it works.
