I just received Xcode 3.2.5 via Software Update, and now I cannot load some of my projects.
Depending on how I load the project, Xcode alternates between crashing and showing the error message:
---
Couldn’t open “<e.g. myproject.xcodeproj>”.

Reason: -[XCPropertyMacroExpansionValue groupTreeDisplayName]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x200ddd440.
---

This happens as soon as I try to load my project after starting Xcode (I've tried launching it in both 32-bit and 64-bit mode by the way). Is this a known issue?
Well, it better is, as I reported it on Dec, 22 as radar://8797947.

For me the error is
"could not open $PROJECT"
Reason:-[__NSCFType scmInfo]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x2011ae5a0

The crash was introduced from build 10M2404 (iOS 4.2 GM seed) -> 10M2423 (iOS 4.2 release).

Hints to workaround are really appreciated.
Good look in using an older release when App Store submission requires you to run the latest Xcode release B-((

I'd say this is a different bug, as it is a different error description (the method name is more relevant than the fact that it's an unrecognized selector). But both look like genuine bugs, so should also be reported (separately).

How to avoid, I'd have no idea, I can only say that I don't see any of these problems.

I've had issues with Xcode occasionally crashing on launch, but it happens infrequently. I've submitted the crash logs, but have not filed a bug as trying again opens it successfully.

As far as older versions of Xcode (and other software), go to: http://connect.apple.com

Yes... 3.2.4 isn't listed though, so I'll see if I can revert to 3.2.2 for now. I'll also collect some stack traces from recent crashes and file a separate bug for this.
At least my problem is reproducible 100% of the time.
