I grappled with this recently, and although I can't say with
certainty that it applies to your situation, in my case I found
that if I turned on "Skip Install" (or, if you're using config
files, SKIP_INSTALL = YES) for the library targets, I got the
desired result.
Otherwise, for subtargets in which SKIP_INSTALL != YES, those
subtargets' products would end up in the build archive, and I'd
get the "not a single bundle" error.
