I gave up on trying to figure out what modifications were needed, and
simply reinstalled Xcode 3.2.6.
OT: what is Apple's disdain for Xcode 3.2.6? The last Snow Leopard
updates broke it (required reinstall), and the Lion upgrade broke it
(required reinstall). Xcode 3.2.6 is familiar to most developers, it
works as advertised, and its stable.
