I have consistently submitted enhancement requests over the years that MacOS X
recognize during or after the system upgrades that Xcode was previously installed
and immediately offer to reinstall it. Unfortunately those are never acted upon.
It would save the end users a lot of confusion and reduce the noise level on
this forum.
