I'm not sure where you come up with AppleScript being broken in Xcode 4. AppleScript is still supported. What isn't supported anymore is the User Scripts and the special variables provided to them.

However, one does have the 'Services' menu and, with some rewrites, it should be possible to upgrade your scripts to a service and have them work.
