Got it. Deployment target in the Target Summary was set to 5.1, which invalidated all of my devices and schemes since 10.6.8 can't deploy to 5.1.
With Lion being such a pain for some of us, WHY can't Apple still support their developers on 10.6.8? It is only reported to be 12 lines of code to do this after all.
