I have tried neither Xcode 4.4 nor Mountain Lion. My pioneering days are long over. As much as possible I leave it to the younger generation to do the debugging.
Thats all well and good, but if a fix is to come, its either going to be in 10.7.5 (currently in testing), 10.8 (already released), or Xcode 4.4(.1).
Ahh sorry I just checked - I didn't realize Xcode 4.4.x ran on Lion (albeit 10.7.4). Since I have a Lion 10.7.4 environment built to demonstrate the issue I'll DL Xcode 4.4.1 and see what happens. Mountain Lion is still to new for my tastes (as isXcode 4.4 really but worth a shot to see if the issue is fixed.)
David:Thanks for pushing me. This issue is resolved using Xcode 4.4.1 on Lion 10.7.4 (on my testbed install.) I'll backup my production system and apply updates to it.
Thanks again for the nudge.
respect….
Peter
