Xcode 4 User Guide states, in "Designing User Interfaces in Xcode":

* * *

To add a constraint

• Select the object or objects for which you want to add the constraint.
• Choose a constraint from the Editor > Add Constraint [now: Pin] menu…

* * *

I love such obvious two-step instructions. But what does it mean when all of the submenu items under "Pin" are disabled? I want to pin the bottom of a a scroll view (containing a text view) to its superview. It is selected.

This happens to me very frequently. Usually I can get the items to enabled by clicking around for a while and using mental telepathy. But now I've been stuck on one now for 10 minutes.

Thank you,

Jerry Krinock
