remembering windows/save behavior in Xcode 4

Hi,

I've recently switched to Xcode 4 and 2 things concern me, first when I open Xcode it will open lots of old windows sometimes .strings files and things like that I was working on previously which is messy. Also, it seems if I make a change to a .strings file for example and close the file the changes are saved without asking me? I caught myself just making accidental changes because of these 2 reasons. Is there any way to turn off this default behavior and am I right about this? Thanks,

rc
