Too many menu items to go through to get the things set up.
Two buttons on the scroll bars for pane splitters could have accomplished the same task without having to worry about "which pane is your main editor and which pane is your 'Assistant' editor and which menu item do I have to go to to determine if they are organized horizontally or vertically."
This UI change has taken a simple task and made it a management chore.
SO. The next question is that each project we open, will be in all kinds of potential layouts. Is there a known "zero state", a base window state, that exists and that we can set an opened project to so that when opened, can run a script on the project to move all the windows to what makes sense for us?

Yeah, or just "splitters”.
I think the idea is that multiple assistant panes are a more generalized way of doing the same thing.
