Egads, it's hard to resist just launching into a tirade about the simple things that don't work in Xcode.
Now it's not letting me set an icon for our app, and indeed in some cases (like the beta we posted on TestFlight) the app simply has no icon. However, it does have an icon when launched on the phone from Xcode.
We have a perfectly good icon.png and email@hidden files in Resources, right along with Default.png and email@hidden (which work fine).
If I try to set the icons using the Summary tab on the target, look at this BS:
Yes, Xcode is complaining that the icon file must have the name that it already has.
Has anyone else seen this? What's the workaround? I'd assume that I could go into the project file and manually enter the name of the icon file, but "icon.png" is the default!
Thanks for any insight.
Gavin
