After working with Xcode 4.5.1 for half an hour or so it seems invariably to get away from me. Or perhaps it's the simulator that gets away. Anyway, things fall apart, the centre cannot hold. Subsequent attempts after that point to start running my project in the simulator fail; nothing happens. But Xcode doesn't know that. So now we're stuck. I can't get the project to run because Xcode already thinks it's running. But saying Stop does nothing either. And I also can't quit, because I then get a dialog where my only options are to Cancel (i.e. don't quit) or Stop Tasks (we can't, so we just sit there forever).

So in the end I have to force quit and relaunch Xcode. I do see this in the system log:

10/5/12 3:12:49.074 PM Xcode[389]: [MT] DVTAssertions: Warning in /SourceCache/IDEFoundation/IDEFoundation-1878/Framework/Classes/Misc/IDEClientTracking.m:190

Please file a bug at http://bugreport.apple.com with this warning message and any useful information you can provide.

Maybe someone has reported this and I can reference your number in my bug report? m.
