Really sorry I can't give you something definitive, but I ran into a similar problem, and it turned out being something related to multiple private keys (some of which were outdated) for the same identity. I'd give you more info, but the process was as haphazard as:

1) Delete a duplicate private key.
2) If signing fails go back to step 2.
3) Signing works, can't reproduce broken environment.

Frustrating because it really feels like an Xcode bug, but I couldn't get enough info/repro to file a good bug report.

Xcode 4.4.1 is showing two TEAMS in the Organizer. One appears as my Team ID, the other as my Team name (Latency: Zero). Under the first team is a single iOS distribution cert that is going to expire tomorrow. Under the other is every other cert (Mac program, etc.), including the one I just re-issued for iOS distribution.

Unfortunately, I can't sign anything, because there are now two distribution certs for Latency: Zero in the keychain, and Xcode doesn't like that. But if I remove one (or both) from the Keychain, Xcode replaces them (that is, the reappear when I re-launch Xcode).

I've found numerous others having this issue online, but none of the proposed solutions seems to work. I'd like to just get rid of the broken TEAM entry in Xcode, but I can't figure out where Xcode is storing that information.

This is rather urgent; I sure hope someone can give me a good answer.

Thanks!
