Thanks John, I am trying to figure out how best to use Dragon, Voiceover and Dictation. Meantime, a colleague has suggested this group:
https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en&fromgroups#!forum/macvisionaries, and they seem interesting.

Looking ahead, wouldn't it be cool if we could tell Xcode what to build. (by voice I mean).

Not a direct answer.

However, there is Dragon Dictate. One of the features of Dictate was the
ability to dictate into an application's field. Tried it with SuperCard but
never XCODE.

There may be other programmers with similar issues that monitor the Mac
Voice mailing list that I believe is maintained by www.themacintoshguy.com.
It was a useful list but is not very active.

The main other list that has such occasional threads if the topic is speech:

Hi. I wonder if there are accessibility tools that would compliment Xcode? I
have lost much of my sight, and could use some new techniques to enter text
(I never was a great typist).

Thanks

David
