I cannot take a snapshot without getting an error...

*** Please tell me who you are.
Run
git config --global user.email "email@hidden"
git config --global user.name "Your Name"
to set your account's default identity.
Omit --global to set the identity only in this repository.

I had SCM setup for a project a few years ago and then abandoned it. I just moved to XCode 4.6 from 3.2 on a fresh install of 10.8. Seth W helped me a few weeks ago with a bash script that removed all .svn folders from my project. That rectified some SCM related missing file warnings but obviously there's still some hint of this old configuration somewhere. I have no repositories showing in my organizer.
Thanks for any suggestions.
