Showing the header makes more sense as you are generally be in Class navigation mode to get an overview of public interfaces. Jumping to definitions is done nearly 100% of the time while looking at code. Disclaimer: I have never found class navigation very useful.
Plus your five step process is WAY too long. It is a one step process.
1. Put the mouse in the name of the function you are interested in, right click, jump to definition.
If it makes your accounting work better for you, call it a move, click and select if you must.
