I do this all day long. Just right-click on the method name — not the end of the line, not a parameter... The same goes for command-clicking on it.

Dude, don't be insulting. It has nothing to do with kool-aid. It has to do with you wanting different behavior than there is currently. There is nothing wrong with that, it's just pointless to ask via the mailing list to change it.
File a radar and be done with it. Sheesh.
