I was saying that if you create a message that is rich text, and you choose the paste and match style, it would be the same as if you pasted plain text. Also, plain text is exactly that--plain--so that means no formatting whatsoever, including fonts, and not just colors. Otherwise we are talking about a "Copy Without Syntax Coloring", which is something entirely different.

That's why I agreed that it is convenient--I often hit the paste shortcut key and end up pasting formatting that I don't want and then have to undo and reselect a smarter paste option that sometimes doesn't have a convenient shortcut key. But it is also a redundant function, so it may not be high on their list.
I think you would agree that the real solution is for Apple to open up access to their compilers so that third parties can create IDE's that better suit developers' needs because Apple clearly doesn't care about our needs. Then maybe they will have some parity with every other platform in existence...
