In general it’s not useful to say “it crashed” without giving a backtrace showing what was going on at the point of the crash. When your app crashes the OS should put up a crash report alert, with an option to let you see the stack dump. That will show you where in the code it crashed.
One possibility is that you have a bug in your code that is only exposed when compiler optimizations are on (i.e. in a Release build.) You can edit the build configuration to have Xcode run the app in Release mode; press Cmd-Opt-R and in the sheet that opens you can alter the build settings to use the Release instead of Debug configuration.
