I remember when you asked this a few months ago. Did you ever look at the build settings of the target to see what SDK it was set to?

(Honestly, I'd just write this off as a one-time glitch, although it's unfortunate that it was your first attempt at using Xcode 5. If it happens again, raise the question again.)
