There should _also_ be a non-team provisioning profile for that app...

You might consider calling Apple, they are very good about helping resolve these issues.

You should also have a development profile for that particular app identifier; add the new dev to that profile, then have the new dev refresh via Xcode.
HTH!

What I have is an iOS Team Provisioning Profile: my.awesome.app. These all seem to get created automatically, and I'm not sure what their purpose is (other than to clutter and obfuscate), especially if I have to create a separate dev profile.

We have a dev on our team who wants to use an iPad for development in a project that uses a team provisioning profile specific to that app.

When he clicks "Use for Development," he gets "Only agents and admins are allowed to add devices to this team. Please have a team admin or agent add this device for you."

So, he sent me the UDID and I added it to the portal manually.

But he still gets that error, and the web portal won't let me edit the team provisioning profiles because they're "managed by Xcode."

How can a dev get a device set up for development?
