Been like that since Xcode 5. Thou shalt not under any circumstances look at older documentation than the most recent even if it would be useful (unless thou paid for Dashcode).

That hasn’t changed. It’s the 2px high downward facing arrow between the magnifying glass and the ‘Search Documentation’ field. Come now, isn’t that obvious! :)
