But why does Xcode offer to download these?
Instead of paying for Dashcode, I am a very happy user of AppKiDo. I only use the Xcode documentation window for full text searches.

Now that I know it, it is semi-obvious. The Find in Xcode has the list of recent searches from this same arrow.
Also semi-consistent.
