Are you certain you don’t have the Base SDK still set to 6.1 for the target? There are project level settings and target level settings. Also note that unless you are now using APIs only available in iOS 7.1, you can leave the deployment target set to iOS 6. Of course, it’s easy to miss using iOS 7 APIs which will lead to a crash on iOS 6 if they aren’t in if statements that avoids running them on iOS 6. You want to do thorough testing on an iOS 6 device if you leave the deployment target set to t iOS 6.
