Thank you for the suggestion. I did find one binary file that matched my
search:
project.xcworkspace/xcuserdata/<my-user-name>.xcuserdatad/UserInterfaceStat
e.xcuserstate
I quite XCode and deleted the file, but when I reopened the project, the
problem persisted. Really weird.
