Request this via a bug report. Seems useful for mixed projects.

2. For some files Xcode hangs indefinitely at "generating interface" for me. From a swift file, try cmd+shift+o and enter dns_sd.h (Xcode 8.1)

Bug report! I’ve seen this too.
