Doyle, I've set the color policies to "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS Off".
That cancels the rest of the screen. Now I go to the print screen and click
on Color Management. It shows under the heading Print under the heading
Color Management a radio button and the words Document (Profile: N/A). Well
hopefully by N/A they mean 'untagged'?
Now under Options I see Color Handling and again the only option is Let
InDesign Determine Colors. So presumably Indesign is determing colors using
the CMS version 2 which is off so in other words by letting Indesign
determine Colors its not doing anything other than passing the raw data to
the printer driver?
The terms are so contorted that I feel I need confirmation. Is this what
you're saying works?
Ok then your last comment is not to forget the Transparency Blend Space. So
even though we're not putting any color model on the target data we're
blending the data into an RGB space? I wish somewhere in the InDesign
Documentation there was a rationale on what they're trying to accomplish. I
find the terminology absolutely opaque.
Thanks for your help
Eric
