If you are interested, I have an AppleScript Studio application for creating
a new user. You can assign a UID and machine name. It should work. You can
look at the source code as well, since this is doing a lot of do shell
script to hit netinfo. If you want it, send me the request off line.

I am assuming that you created a default user as described here...

Actually, by following those instructions, you could also set it up to
re-run the Setup Assistant as well.
