Thank you for these words of comfort, Bill. They are especially soothing
coming from such a distinguished member of the AS community.

After several years on this list before OS X came along, I was emerging from
the deep dark woods of ignorance and progressing steadily towards the high
veldt of competence - but over the past year, as X has taken hold and shell
scripts and other complications have been thrown into the mix, there have
been some terrifyingly complex (to me) threads. I often find myself feeling
the same profound sense of ignorance that I felt about handlers and script
objects when I first subscribed.

It's good to remember that AS still excels at the simple stuff, and with a
little bit of scripting savvy under your belt, you've got the mother of all
Mac utilities at your fingertips.
