Cricket has been helpful on this list. He's posted scripts and
information not available elsewhere. He's offered to accept suggestions
for future features. He's working on an app that is good, even if it's
new and unpolished. This app has an applescript dictionary. Woohoo! I
suggest that you all remember other times and apps.
Is applescript moving forward? Is it promoted at all? These are baby
steps for Apple. Patience and productive discussion may yield in your
hopes being fulfilled. Anger and criticism will likely not yield the
same.
However there is no opportunity in the future to set the path that
scripting will follow. Changes should be asked for now. And changes
should be made, by Apple, now. If there was a single individual at
Apple to whom we could direct comments and suggestion for AppleScript
issues it would be a great thing. That there is someone in Mail's dev
team that we can do this with is a good thing.
