When does this process need to be active? Do you really need it running if
all I do is accidentally start and then quit Mail, or do you need it from
the moment I start collecting my new messages?
If it's the second, then how about a rule that matches everything and
triggers the AppleScript that starts the process? It could be a stay-open
which checks for the presence of Mail and, when Mail is quit, stops the
process again.
What are you trying to do when your users are checking their email -- sounds
a bit Big Brother to me! -- might there be an easier way?
