Terminal background picture

Does anyone know of a way to script terminal to change the background
picture of a specific terminal window?

I can change the background color via a script, but I can't seem to do
anything with a picture.

I could swap a picture into a known location, so that when a terminal
window launched it would get that new picture.

But I don't know how to update or change a picture once it is loaded into
a terminal window.

I can't use the UI scripting for this, as I want the window and terminal
to stay in the background....

Thanks,

DAC
