Well Ken, you're drawing false conclusions. The domain has got nothing to do with what happened.

If you really want to learn a lesson: how about disabling MacOS X's handling of the "applescript:" protocol, which is at the core of this trick?

The link looks completely harmless to me. On my machine Script Editor pops up a new window for every script it opens through the "applescript:" protocol mechanism - nothing is written over or deleted.

If that is what happened to you, you most likely should file a bug report towards Apple.
