I inadvertently put an old version of Jon's Commands (v 2.1.2) in the System/Library/ScriptingAdditions folder on my Pismo running Mac OS 10.2.8. I have a newer, X-ready version (3.0d3) that I'd like to place there.
To delete the erroneous copy, do this slightly dangerous command:
sudo rm /System/Library/ScriptingAdditions/J*
Supply your password when asked.
However, I recommend installing Jon's Commands in your home Library instead, or in the /Library instead of /System/Library. /System is not to be modified any more. /Library is the place for all users, and I recommend installing it only for specific users.
However, if you install it for specific users, you will find that there is no folder named ScriptingAdditions. You will have to make one. It isn't hard.
