UI Scripting PowerMail

  • Subject: UI Scripting PowerMail

I'm trying to set the search value of the search window of Email
application PowerMail. There is no support in the PowerMail dictionary as
far as I can see so I have to use UI scripting.
I have a hard time identifying the objectname of the search value line,
however. It's inside "grow area 1 of window "Search" of application
process "PowerMail" ", but the clues stops there. With one line visible
the UI elements available for the window are 6 buttons, 4 popupbuttons ,
4 radio buttons, 3 static text areas and 1 group area. Some of which are
placed inside what I believe to be "grow area 1". But no dynamic text area.

I want to be able to set or type a new value on this line and conduct a
search with it.

What am I missing here? Do I need to find this line trough another path
than the windows UI elements or the UI elements stem? I sure don't see a
lot of other candidates trough the eyes of Script Debugger 3.08. Are
there easier solutions for identifying and getting UI references? Or is
what I want not possible with UI scripting?
