None that I know of but probably wouldn't be too hard to write one.

That the Mac doesn't autolaunch programs contained on storage media (including images) when it's mounted was a conscious decision by Apple and in IMHO it was a good one. Just look to the Dark Side for proof of this.

Which assumes that the end user will have Folder Actions enabled. This isn't a given as most users are completely unaware of the existence of Folder Actions because they don't muck about with AppleScript. IIRC Folder Actions aren't enabled by default.
The best solution all round is to let the user initiate the script by double-clicking it. This will also give the user a sense of accomplishment similar to adding an egg to a Betty Crocker cake mix.
