No you don't. Files don't do things. Programs do things. Thus the only thing
that can happen with downloaded files is that, *if* the receiving machine is
configured to do so, the file is automatically opened by some program.
Indeed Safari by default is configured to open ".dmg" files upon download.
But it's just a setting, in just 1 browser. Since the Help Viewer exploit and
URL scheme security holes[*] were found out, many users will have this option
disabled.

No, you don't want that. It shouldn't be possible, for security reasons. And
if it were possible, doing so should make the user distrust your motives.
