Thanks for all the info, Chris.

I just want o make sure I understand this comment (like Shane). Are you
saying that even on an MacIntel, single file Applications saved from Script
Editor are saved as PPC-only? How peculiar, if so. Why?

Or did you mean (in answer to my specific question) that on a PPC machine
(only) single file Applications saved from Script Editor are saved as
PPC-only, but on a MacIntel they are saved as Universal?

Deivy appears to be saying that it's PPC only, even on an MacIntel. I this
likely to be permanent, or temporary? Are you (Apple) perhaps suggesting
that in the future, when we all move to MacIntel, scripts applications
"ought" to be saved as bundles?
